Using a 0.6 ohm stainless steel U-Tech coil, this makes the pockex a starter kit that is a sub ohm styled vape device. The Pockex has a discreet size and low profile sub ohm vapour production and features a wider drip tip and larger top airflow allowing for an increase in vapour production.

The Pockex utilises Aspire's U-Tech coil technology, specially designed to ensure a better vaping experience. There are 2 different resistances that the coils are available in to suit you vaping preference. The 0.6 ohm SS316L (Stainless Steel) coil is good for both vapour and flavour production while the 1.2 ohm coils is an ideal choice if you prefer to use higher nicotine content in your e-liquid.
The Pockex introduces a top-fill system in an innovative new way. The atomizer head (coil) screws into the top cap instead of the bottom. This does allow you to replace the atomizer without draining the e-liquid contained in the tank. The Pockex's top fill design allows you to drip, drop or pour e-liquid into the 2ml TPD compliant tank.
Pockex Top-Filling instructions:
Unscrew and remove the top cap
2. Squirt your favourite vape juice into the tank (Please ensure that you do not fill above the maximum fill line).
Screw the top cap back into place on the tank.
Please note: When using the atomizer for the first time, make sure to allow the e-liquid to saturate the cotton wick inside the tank before use. This should normally take around 4 - 5 minutes depending on the ratio of the e-liquid.

Staff Review
The Aspire PockeX Pocket AIO has been one of the most popular beginner/pen-style devices. Aspire have been bringing their A-game when it comes to coils, tanks and mods and this is evident in their product quality as well as the huge sale numbers of the nautilus tank. their coils are the heart of each tank and device, and this is no exception. Small, compact and powerful, the Aspire PockeX Pocket AIO is bound to make an impression!
Beginner kits are reasonably simple and that's the point, really. they are meant to be simple, easy to use, portable and above all, comfortable to use. the reason for these devices being MTL or mouth to lung is because that's what is familiar to a smoker coming from smoking to vaping. Saying that though lets look at the kit itself and as an "advanced vaper" with several years in the industry, I have this today about the PockeX:
It's a great kit, allowing anyone who picks it up to use it straight away without any issues. The performance of the device is nice with the power never seeming to drop, only until it dies completely. I would also like to note that the device was tested for a week, straight so all the findings posted here are are purely subjective to my particular device. Saying that I still find this particular kit standing on my desk, which I use in high profile situations when I want to vape discreetly.
Over all, I really enjoyed using this kit and so have people who have never used an e-cigarette, since i let them try mine. it's small enough to carry around and also powerful enough to use, without any issues or power drops. The coils are also easy to change and are no too expensive anyway.
Q&A
I am a beginner, is the Aspire PocketX the best kit for me?
Your first kit should a a simple one. This will allow you to understand and get used to it's functionality, without being overpowered by things such as Variable Wattage, Temperature Control and other functions available on devices today. The Aspire Pockex is a great kit for beginners as it is both simple, small in form factor and above all portable so you will never be caught without a vape when you want one.
Do all coils fit the Aspire PocketX tank?
The PockeX kit can use either the ).6 ohm or 1.2 ohm PockeX coils, giving you a choice of either a great starter coil in the 1.2 ohm coil or an introduction to sub ohm vaping with the 0.6 ohm coil.
Is Aspire PocketX a sub ohm tank?
First of all, let's clarify what Ohms are. An ohm is the measure of electrical resistance of the coil inside an atomizer or tank. It is normally shown using this symbol - Ω. The more wraps a coil has and the thinner said wire is, the higher the resistance and fewer, thicker wraps of wire tend to be a lower resistance. Any atomizer coil with a resistance below 1.00 ohms such as (0.50, 0.15, etc.) is a sub-ohm coil. The 0.6 ohm PockeX coil is a great option if you want to try sub ohm vaping with the PockeX tank before looking at more powerful kit for a more advanced sub ohm option.
What's the difference between Aspire Pocket X voltage and wattage?
Voltage is the direct current given out by the battery and the wattage is the measure of power distributed to the coil from the battery. Wattage can be changed easily using a variable wattage device. More importantly, Voltage will take all the set power the user has defined in the menu and send all of it through the coil. Variable Wattage on the other hand uses the coil's resistance as a guideline and takes the Ohms into consideration, ensuring too much power is not sent to the coil causing it to fail. VW is used in every single regulated device today as it is the most popular form of adjustment.
